But once you got there it would be harder to maintain your supply of components. Removing BPs and making components rarer should theoretically balance out so it takes about the same time to reach a Tier 3 Workbench as it currently does to get a Tier 3 + the BPs. It's pretty easy for a large clan to get the components to supply their whole clan with infinite kits. Once you have all the BPs though you end up with so many components you never really run out. Components are designed more to be recycled for Scrap/BPs than they are for use as actual components, so they are very common to find. The game is setup to have a massive grind at the start as you research through all the BPs, but once you finish researching them the game gets too easy. In current Rust components are multipurpose. I think it could be more balanced between solo players and large groups, since the groups couldn't give all their scrap to one member to research all the BPs anymore. Remove blueprints so obtaining a workbench automatically grants you access to all the items of that tier, and also reduce the drop rates of components to make the workbenches themselves a bit harder to obtain. I kinda wish they would go back to the original components system but keep the workbenches. Let me know how you guys feel about the gameplay loop of rust currently, and how would you like to see the game evolve. These are my opinions on how the game feels for me, I love pvp I just wish the pvp was more rewarding and less of a EGO fest. If you had to invest more time into your base and earn gear to get into these high tier areas people would be more inclined to stick with the server they chose for the wipe.

If you cant snowball a start and become the dominant group of a area they just quit and try again on another server, or wait for Monday wipes and try again.

This in my opinion is why most servers cant retain players for just 1 week. I'm wondering how others feel about these things, do majority of the players enjoy the endless grubbing, or killing the same guy 10 times because he has endless bags within the area? or killing other players over and over for low tier weapons and some burlap gear at end game monuments?Įnd Game monuments should require way higher gear sets, it shouldn't just be slap a hazmat suit or wood armor on and "make a play".

Killing people is supposed to feel rewarding not just another gun/hazmat suit to add into your box full of guns. Maybe I'm alone on this one but this game feels like a arcade shooter with some base building, not so much a survival game. Personally I would like to see the game slowed down, I want base builds to matter more and the base locations to have more meaning, and people to start utilizing all the systems more.įor me the endless loop of rush to X monument slap down a 2x2 and endlessly farm scrap or grub to make plays is boring to me. I'm curious on how others feel about the rust gameplay loop.
